Nordec stands as the premier manufacturer of welded beams and columns in Northern Europe with over 40 years experience in steel construction, bridges and engineering industry. With our welded beams and columns, we offer optimal structural design solutions, ensuring significant cost savings in both material and labor. Majority of our welded profiles are produced in our own factory located in Ylivieska, Finland.
Own production for welded beams and columns
We manufacture and complete each beam and column ready for installation according to your specifications. We also provide welded profiles for your further processing. By ordering project specific steel materials directly from the steel mill, we reduce material waste and enable cost-efficient logistics.
The most common welded beam or column types we produce are I-profiles (WI) and box profiles (WB). Each welded profile is designed and tailored for each project to achieve the most cost-effective solution.
Our automated welding lines and advanced production methods ensure fast, high quality and reliable deliveries. We manage the entire manufacturing process , including the transport of the beams and columns to the construction site. We deliver the product in the right place at the right time.
Capability of our SAW welding lines
- Beam hight 300 mm – 4300 mm
- Flange width: up to 1250 mm (top flange), up to 1400 mm (bottom flange)
- Beam length 5000 mm – 35000 mm
- Production line suitable also for precambered and tapered profiles.
- Lifting capacity at the factory up to 100 tons.

High Quality
We have own independent control department doing the quality treatment control. Our inspection methods are: Dimensional, NDT (VT, MT, PT and UT) and surface treatment. Our long-term partner for quality controls is Dekra Industrial Oy.
