Low carbon steel structures
Innovative low carbon steel structures
Our low carbon steel structures are designed to optimize material use and reduce environmental impact while maintaining durability and efficiency.
Nordec low carbon steel structures like columns, beams, braces, and trusses are produced at our own facilities using steel with a high content of recycled steel.
Our steel solutions
are efficiently designed and manufactured at Nordec’s facilities in Oborniki, Poland, and Gargždai, Lithuania, using hot-rolled profiles, such as H-, I-, and U-profiles, made from over 90% recycled steel.
These structures are suited for a wide range of applications, including buildings, bridges, and industrial projects, where both material efficiency and durability are essential. Through optimized structural design, we ensure they meet high performance and sustainability standards.

Key benefits of our low carbon steel structures
Recycled steel
- Our hot-rolled profiles contain over 90% recycled steel, reducing carbon emissions by up to 40% compared to conventional steel production methods.
Versatile applications
- From buildings and bridges to industrial projects, our structures optimize material usage and minimize waste.
Resource Efficiency
- Our low carbon steel structures offer a resource-efficient solution for construction projects focused on minimizing environmental impact.
Verified environmental impact
To quantify these benefits, we provide independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for each production facility. They offer transparent, lifecycle-based data on the environmental impact of our products.
- Oborniki Factory: The Global Warming Potential (GWP-total A1-A3) for our steel structures produced at the Oborniki factory is 0.721 kg CO2e per kg of product. Using our low carbon steel structures produced in Oborniki, Poland, reduces the carbon footprint by 40 % compared to traditional steel production methods.
- Gargždai Factory: The Global Warming Potential (GWP-total A1-A3) for our steel structures produced at the Gargždai factory is 0.913 kg CO2e per kg of product. Using our low carbon steel structures produced in Gargzdai, Lithuania, reduces the carbon footprint by 27 % compared to traditional steel production methods.
