Occupational Safety and Health Day at Nordec Lithuania: practical safety work across offices, production and site

On 28 April, Occupational Safety and Health Day was marked at Nordec Lithuania through practical activities across offices, production and construction sites. The focus was on how occupational safety and health is managed in daily work environments.

In offices, teams used the LEGO Serious Play method to review working methods and discuss team-level challenges. The sessions addressed operational processes, collaboration between functions and how everyday decisions influence outcomes. The visual approach supported structured discussion and helped surface observations that are not always raised in routine work.

The day continued at the Vilnius National Stadium project, where attention shifted to site conditions, identified risks and possible improvements. Discussions were linked to current work phases and focused on practical actions that can be implemented directly on site.

In production, the focus remained on consistent daily safety practices, routines and responsibility, with emphasis on maintaining a stable level of performance over time.

The purpose was not to introduce new principles but to examine existing ways of working in practice. Occupational safety is built through daily decisions, shared responsibility and continuous discussion across all roles and environments.
