Nydalen School of Economics

Project: New building

Flexible steel system

Four buildings for rent under one roof constituted the project. Three of the buildings are leased to the School of Economics that has relocated its units to the Nydalen area of Oslo. The remaining building was designed as office space. While the ground area of the site was restricted to approximately 13,000 m², the structures would form a gross surface area of around 100,000 m².

The developer managed the project by dividing it into a limited number of subcontracts. The structure is built of a flexible system of steel. The system constitutes a generic space, which allows for later rebuilding and relocating of auditoriums, for example. The cost of the project was NOK 1.5 billion.

The references shown are only a small part of the projects we have done, and the most recent ones are yet to come.
