Nordec Christmas Greetings 2023

As the year is coming to an end, and we are all turning our thoughts to upcoming holiday season, it is important to look back and share some reflections about what we at Nordec have gone through during a very interesting and challenging year 2023.

In spite of the current uncertainties in the economic climate, we have together with our customers, suppliers and other partners done really well this year. I am very proud and glad to see that we now for the third year in a row are continuing to grow and deliver many interesting projects to our satisfied customers. We appreciate your business and the trust you have shown in placing your projects for our execution!

During the year we have worked with a number of our repeat customers in our targeted segments. But also new customers have chosen to work with us.  In other words, we have continued to work for both old and new customers to realise their investment plans weather it has been related to electrification of mobility, green transition, bridges, logistics, sport halls, hospitals or offices. Although some of our segments, such as offices, have been affected by current economic climate, I am pleased to see that even there we are starting execution of new projects early next year.

The importance of sustainability and the need to help our customers reach their carbon footprint reduction targets, continues to grow with increasing interest. To meet these challenges in the future, Nordec’s strategy and goal is to be at the forefront of sustainable and low-carbon solutions for our customers. We at Nordec are thus working decisively to continue reducing our carbon footprint in our operations and deliveries. Already now we have made great progress, for example, in 2023 we have prepared and published several new EPD’s for low carbon products with significantly lower carbon footprint than before. We have also revised our target to reduce our carbon footprint by 42 % by 2030 (Scope 1-3). And as an integral part of Nordec’s own green transition, we are also working to improve our offering and tools to our customers to better support in achieving the targets set for their construction projects.

As said in the beginning – time for reflection is a good thing, but not only in the world of business. With Christmas approaching, we should also remember the difficulties and challenges that many people in the world are facing right now and recognize that not everyone is as fortunate as many of us. Hence, as expression gratitude towards our customers and partners, we instead want to direct our gift towards something that helps those in the need of support. This year we have chosen to focus on helping children in need through UNICEF and supporting a better environment around the Baltic Sea through the John Nurminen Foundation.

Having that said, I am already looking forward to meeting you, old and new customers, on the other side of the year with exciting new projects to develop and realize together.

Until then, I wish you all a safe and relaxing Christmas and a Happy New Year!
