Nordec has signed a contract with Skanska and Haehre consisting of 11 steel bridges.

Nordec has been selected as a provider for a challenging project OPS Hålogalandsvegen in North of Norway, due to its reliability and high-quality standards. The total contracts include the construction and installation of steel structures for 11 bridges.

The main contractor for this huge project is Skanska Norge AS. Nordec will supply six bridges to Skanska while Haehre Entreprenør AS is responsible for five bridges.

The bridges, listed with their respective weights, are as follows:

With Skanska Norge:

Bro K209, Dalelva, 131 ton

Bro K210, Dalelva Rv. 85, 81 ton

Bro K215, Kongsvikelva, 220 ton

Bro K221, Ulvikelva, 50 ton

Bro K233, Årbogelva, 170 ton

Bro K501, Slåttdalselva, 77.5 ton

With Haehre:

Bro K105, Langvassbrua, 105 ton

Bro K106, Bømarkselv, 80 ton

Bro K109, Våtvollelva, 195 ton

Bro K113, Løbergsbukta, 83 ton

Bro K205, Eideelva and Heggedalselva, 360 ton

The main materials used for the bridges are grades 355N and NL/460 M and ML, with Processkode System 1 & System 2 painting systems suitable for very demanding conditions such as salty water.

The project aims to facilitate travel by reducing travel times. This will be accomplished through the construction of a new route that will include tunnels and bridges measuring up to ten meters in width.

The project’s client is Statens Vegvesen; the structural design is by Multiconsult & AAS-Jakobsen in Norway with workshop drawings by Rune Bodbacka (Nordec). Nordec’s project manager is John Sundblom, sales engineer Hans Thylin and site manager John Nyberg.

This significant infrastructure project in Northern Norway became a reality with the signing of the contracts with Skanska (Roy-Krister Gangsø, Prosjektleder) on 17.11.2023 and with Haehre (Mikkel Andre Bregge, Anleggsleder) on 07.03.2024.

We are thankful for being chosen to be part of such a significant project.
